About Me

I was born and raised in Cupertino, CA. I went to Humboldt State University for undergrad. Though I officially only changed my major once, I considered and started working towards six different majors: Environmental Science, Dance, Math, Anthropology, Computer Information Systems, and Computer Science. Though my degree ultimately was in Computer Science, all of those fields are ones that continue to interest me. I've been dancing since I was three years old. I continue to care about the environment and am constantly looking for ways to reduce my impact on the world. I find the study of humans to be fascinating - particularly the physical and cultural aspects of anthropology.

When I graduated from Humboldt State I was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year in Computer Science - an honor my professors had not told me I would be receiving!

Nearly three years ago I moved to the eastern Sierra Nevadas, near Reno, NV. A big part of why I moved from the SF Bay Area to, well, the middle of nowhere, is because of how peaceful it is. I love the outdoors. I can go hiking, fishing, swimming in alpine lakes, snowboarding, snowshoeing... And all within a few miles of my house! But I'm still an easy commute to Reno, which I've been doing for the last two years. Some of my other interests include sewing, reading, adult coloring books, and CS education!
